Amazon India settlement report (Flat File V2)
Your settlement report lists every rupee Amazon credited or debited on your account, per order and per fee. It is where refunds that were never matched by a return credit hide.
Download the report
- 1Sign in to Amazon Seller Central (sellercentral.amazon.in).
- 2Open the menu and go to Reports → Payments.
- 3Open the "All Statements" tab.
- 4Find the settlement period you want and choose Download → Flat File V2.
- 5If Flat File V2 is not offered directly, use Reports → Payments → Date Range Reports and request a Transaction report, or download the settlement flat file from the Report Repository.
- 6Upload the downloaded .txt/.csv file here — do not open and re-save it in Excel first (Excel reformats dates and numbers).
What the file looks like
A tab-delimited text file (sometimes CSV) with a fixed set of 24 columns, including settlement-id, transaction-type, order-id, amount-type, amount-description, amount, and posted-date. The first row is a settlement summary; after that, a single order usually appears as 5 to 9 rows, one per fee component such as Principal, Commission, or a shipping fee. Negative amounts are debits to you. Because the schema is fixed, ClaimDesk reads this file directly with no column-mapping step.
What ClaimDesk detects in it
- Refunds with no matching return credit: orders where a refund debited your principal, but no corresponding return or reimbursement credit appears in your settlements within about 30 days. These are SAFE-T claim candidates with the estimated debited amount and the indicative days left in the roughly 60-day window.
These are candidates, not proven claims: verify each one against your returns dashboard before filing. All amounts are estimates from your uploaded data; deadlines are indicative, verify Amazon India’s current SAFE-T policy.

Frequently asked questions
Which Amazon report exactly does ClaimDesk need?
The Settlement Report in Flat File V2 format, downloaded from Reports, then Payments, then the All Statements tab in Amazon Seller Central India. One file per settlement period. Both the .txt (tab-delimited) and .csv versions work.
Can ClaimDesk prove an item was never returned to me?
No. The settlement file alone cannot prove physical non-receipt. ClaimDesk flags refunded orders where you were debited but no matching return credit appears in your settlements, as candidates. Verify each one against your returns dashboard before filing a SAFE-T claim.
What is a SAFE-T claim?
SAFE-T is Amazon's reimbursement route for sellers who were debited for a refund they believe was unfair, for example when the item never came back. The filing window is around 60 days from the refund (indicative, verify Amazon India's current SAFE-T policy before relying on it).
Should I upload one settlement file or several?
Several, ideally covering the last two or three months. Refunds and their return credits often land in different settlement periods, so more coverage means fewer false candidates and a more accurate estimate.
